8udDha bl0od kicked off the introduction track to their latest album with inventive effects which would give any guitarist pedalboard-envy. The chiming choral guitar progressions make for a trippy start, but from there on out, the epically-lengthed 11-minute instrumental track will take you through a myriad of evolutions.

8udDha bl0od’s recently released single “Untitled 1299; L3<3l <3; liv3 4 n0WVL0<3 f0R3<3R:12:42; !! + ii = V; fligh7 0f 7h3 3.:.gl3” is a must for any fans of Sonic Youth and Glenn Branca.

But rather than assimilating Avant-Garde pioneers, 8udDha bl0od weaved in plenty of their own distinction through the use of bluesy, hazily psychedelic atmospheric tones.

The experimental Math Rock notes fall into just the right place to create a rhythmic pull which will lead you through the deftly crafted progressive soundscape. As the track progresses, the rhythms get tighter and tighter until you’re aware that your own rhythmic pulses have become arrested by the hypnotically cutting track.

Bisch Nadar release their latest tumultuous Math Rock single “Wink Murder”

If you like your Math Rock to offer a little more caustic bite, look no further than the latest single “Wink Murder” from Bisch Nadar.

The Liverpool-based Alt-Rock trio has become renowned for their ability to compose fiercely hypnotic tracks which drag you along with the less than archetypal instrumentals which are about as gentle as a death roll with a crocodile.

In between the ensnaring chaotic instrumentals and restraint-less guttural screams contained in Wink Murder, you’ll find increments of atmospheric melodicism and harmonic vocals which make the veracity of the overdriven guitars seem even fiercer.

It was about time Math Rock saw a reinvention. As far as I’m concerned, Bisch Nadar is leading the way.

You can check out Wink Murder for yourselves by heading over to Spotify now.

They’ll be kicking off their UK tour in Liverpool on Saturday the 12th of October, head to their Facebook for more details.

And Then Suddenly – Let’s All Laugh At the Duck: Quaintly Melodic Math Rock

With some singles, you can hear the prelude and fall safely into the predictability of the soundscape. Up and coming artist And Then Suddenly’s latest single “Lets All Laugh at the Duck” gives you the completely opposite aural experience.

With technical and angularly indulgent guitar progressions and vocals which carry the perfect amount of charismatic swagger, Let’s All Laugh at the Duck runs through with plenty of fresh dynamic magnetism.

You’ll be able to expect elements of Math Rock, Post Rock, and Pop Punk when hitting play on the single which demands repeat attention. From quaintly sweet textures to sonically frenzied instrumental energy, you’ll get all that and more from Let’s All Laugh at the Duck.
