DYYNVMIC delivers meta mindfulness with their standout single ‘Three Wives’ featuring Girls Like Girls

While some Hip Hop artists are out there writing ‘love’ songs for their side pieces, Californian artist DYYNVMIC is adding perspective-shifting nuance to the soundwaves with his single, ‘Three Wives”, which shines a mindful light on the dark side of addiction.

Three Wives is just one of the singles which you’ll find on DYYNVMIC’s distinctively alluring 2020 EP, ‘Road Work’, which is heavily influenced by the 00’s era of Hip Hop. It serves as the perfect introduction to their unique perspective and tonally-indulgent approach to production. That’s all before mentioning the authenticity in DYYNVMIC’s smooth, steady and sobering Rap bars.

Three Wives is raw, tender and transfixing right from the intro through the addition of Girls Like Girls’ vocals which ooze sincerity and vulnerability. A simple harmonic whisper of “How did we get this far” before running through a series of conflicted emotions is all it takes for your mood to fall perfectly in line.

Each ‘wife’ serves to explain a different facet of addiction, something which the artist has witnessed plenty of. With the meta-narrative style, he offers powerful emotion while never letting the stigma of addiction lace the soundscape.

Three Wives transcends typical lyrical narratives while achieving an atmospherically cinematic vibe. Any fans of Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q’s sound and Eminem’s lyrical approach are definitely going to want to delve in.

Ecsentric has left another mark on Brooklyn’s map of Hip Hop artists with “Alibis”

As an up and coming Hip Hop artist in Brooklyn, NYC, Ecsentric has some serious competition, but his latest release “Alibis” makes it all too evident that he’s on the way to the top with his fresh new sound which vibes with plenty of old school elements.

Under the influence of J. Cole, Nas, Logic and Kendrick Lamar, Ecsentric’s sound boasts that shimmeringly alluring Jazzy tone, although the dreamy reverb in Alibis takes the production to new hypnotic heights. As for the lyrics, they’re candidly exposing enough to draw a tear from you as you lose yourself in the evocative narrative of loss and betrayal.

The instrumentals may be light and melodic in Alibis, but don’t be surprised if it leaves you with a few emotional bruises.

KidSeb serves up hazy summer vibes in their latest release “Re: Growth EP”

If you’re looking to soak up some hazy smooth summer vibes, there’s a potent serving in up and coming South Auckland-based Hip Hop artist KidSeb’s latest release “Re: Growth EP”.

The EP kicks off with a dreamy Jazz and Blues-infused Ambient feat of Hip Hop which may be instrumentally hypnotic, but KidSeb’s commanding bars make sure that your attention never falters from the sunny tones and the catchy melodic hooks.

From there on out, you’ll be immersed in East Coast-influenced mixes which any fans of Jay Z, Kanye, Drake, Dre, and Kendrick Lamar will definitely appreciate. But that’s not to say there isn’t plenty of distinction in KidSeb’s EP.

Each track is as dynamic and immersive as the last and demands repeat attention. The tracks may be on the ambient side, but each one offers infectious high vibes.

Inspirational Hip Hop never gets old. As long as apathy still lingers in our society, we’ll need artists such as Rooftop J to grace the airwaves with high-vibe tracks such as “We Going Up”.

With the steady downtempo beats, a sprinkling of Jazz tones and the atmospheric depth of We Going Up, you’ll easily find the groove in the mix and be pulled along as you hang off Rooftop J’s every word. Their Rap bars parallel the mellifluous feel of the beats in the track which is bound to be of interest to fans of Mac Miller, Kanye, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar.

Ever since Rooftop J made their debut in 2018, they haven’t been short of acclaim, and it’s more than easy to see why. Their magnetically connectable vibe is inimitable.

Get high with US Hip Hop artist Viizion’s latest drop “Elevate”

US Hip Hop artist Viizion has dropped their first 2020 single Elevate, if you’re looking for an urban aural pick up prepare to get elevated.

Viizion’s approach to West Coast Hip Hop may be immediately accessible, but tangibly, they’ve poured plenty of authenticity into the mix. The hazy stoner vibes instantly let you know that Elevate is a track which is safe to sink into. Viizion’s Rap bars may remain energetic, but the smooth inventive beats ooze a sublime catharsis which you’d be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.

Fans of Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Drake are definitely going to want to make the up and coming artist a firm fixture on their playlists.

From the EP Sooner Than You Think, Omo Aston drops his new single Man On!

Irish singer and songwriter Omo Aston has dropped his new single Man On! from the EP Sooner Than You Think.

Unfolding from Afrobeat sounds rooted in his Nigerian descent and outlining a paramount part of the arrangement, the song is like a gust of fresh air for an R&B-derived hip hop effort to the likes of artists such as Kendrick Lamar and Frank Ocean. Despite being in the scene since only 2018, Omo Aston prides himself on having achieved thousands of streams without any other support but his talent and an ever-evolving sound that gets to explore features of Soul and even Jazz.

While still being an emerging artist, he’s already gained awareness and appraisal by Irish urban magazines, and it’s fair to expect he’s going to deliver on that pledge in his upcoming project in 2021.

ZeNith releases Rap track Diamonds ft SADI

Boston-based rap duo ZeNith has dropped their recent track ‘Diamond’ ft SADI a Rap and R&B infused single.

Pulling inspirations from Kendrick Lamar, talking about important topics to do with mental health, upbringing, love through their talent of creating meaningful lyrics as they turn it into their own style through their way of Rap. It’s a fairly short track, but you do get a taste of what they have to offer in that time, the pulsing beat that comes through the vocals as the lyrics are repeated in the background in a more distorted deep tone.

Incorporating the sound effect of a record being mixed, and the flow of the variety of sounds that intertwine into the overall rhythm of the track, the vocals are very much keeping it at that low-pitch, keeping it honest and explicit and having that fast pace to it keeping it engaging and upbeat.

WilStar – OH LA LA: Drip Drop Dope

The inability of most rap artist to breathe creativity in every line of their work is something all good music enthusiast and loyalist can’t help but complain about. So many things have really changed in the rap game these days, it quite seems to be all about jumping right in the boot to record a song the moment the music producer finally hit some nice chords combo to put out a cool beat.

Whatever happened to music with a good intent of addressing a problem?

It ain’t always about cooking up a well-penned cuss/ diss track or spitting those heavy bars while trying to sound like a lyrical prodigy at rap cyphers. Trust me, this Hip Hop song ain’t nothing like what you’ve heard in a long while; it couldn’t have been sang any better.

Apart from that simple but yet captivating “She be Like Oh La La” chorus that softly adds more happy vibe the song, another thing that’s very hard to miss is that brilliant sound that hurls off every iota of uncertainty as regards the validity of the song’s quality, miles away each minute the song plays.

The Flow of the music and the lyrics are also well punctured and organized. It’s really nice to know that Wilstar is still fresh in the industry and I presume he would be able to pull out more dope songs in his subsequent work with ease.

Hippy Creed – Last Night: 420 Friendly Funk

Call me old fashioned, but when I think of a ‘Hippy’ sound, what doesn’t come to mind is an R&B Rap artist and his music about sleeping with women whose names he cannot remember.

Never the less, in its own right, Last Night is an audiophiles delight, which has fans pumped about the Atlanta, Georgia Hip Hop artists sound which is produced to perfection.

Whilst the lyrics are uninventive, the sound supports the track through his slightly linear musings. Hippy Creed pertains the image that he’s more than just your average Hip Hop artist and within his sound lies a movement based around the importance of being aware at all times. I suppose that for someone with such a 420 inclination, that message may seem pretty necessary.

Any fans of Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Tech Nine are in for a treat with this track, under it’s superficiality, Hippy Creed has a vocal ability and flow that will make him the envy of many R&B artists.

Dream-Rap? Is That Even A Thing?

Even with the amount of new music being made every day, with sheer weight of collective imaginations, the genre splicing experiments, the fusing and fusion of styles Garrison Carver seems to be on to something new here. Yes, there is a trippy trap beat, a cool R&B vibe and a rap delivery but that is then cocooned in something totally unexpected. Around these more expected elements he wraps a dream-pop haze, chilled psychedelia and electronic washes.

It’s confusing, but experience tells us that is a good thing, expectations are made to be subverted, rules are made to be broken and new musical horizons are their to be explored and DD does all of those things and more. Blissed out hip-hop? Ethereal R&B? Dream-rap? Are those even a thing? The fact that you have to invent whole new genres to put the music in is an indication of just how original this music is and how singular and lateral Garrison Carver’s thinking is.
