Get high with US Hip Hop artist Viizion’s latest drop “Elevate”

US Hip Hop artist Viizion has dropped their first 2020 single Elevate, if you’re looking for an urban aural pick up prepare to get elevated.

Viizion’s approach to West Coast Hip Hop may be immediately accessible, but tangibly, they’ve poured plenty of authenticity into the mix. The hazy stoner vibes instantly let you know that Elevate is a track which is safe to sink into. Viizion’s Rap bars may remain energetic, but the smooth inventive beats ooze a sublime catharsis which you’d be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.

Fans of Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Drake are definitely going to want to make the up and coming artist a firm fixture on their playlists.

Sons Of Babylon – Shadows; The Perfect Poetic Vibe.

Starting off with a rather mid-tempo beat and a well-orchestrated intro like that of a cinematic prologue in a blissful serene space that’s invaded with the wind of a happy chime.

This song proves that there’s always something new to learn each day from a good music, all thanks to the artist for giving us this masterpiece.

I’m not gonna forget to mention the glorious nice beat that was flawlessly rendered to pave way for the emergence of the awesomeness of the whole song to be felt in its full glory.

This song is definitely poetry. The artist must have been a renowned poet or a writer because obviously, it’s just a few musicians that can deliver and offer it exactly the way he did.

It’s glaring to behold a view that is so clear and amazing – just like what you’re still yet to experience when you fall back to gently listen with apt attention to understand the message the rapper was trying to point at in the song. All thanks to the artiste for breaking the 1st rule of numb in music with his eccentric style of writing.

Sons of Babylon can be placed among the likes of K-dot Lamar and J.Cole because his creative style of storytelling and rapping is enchanting and invigorating.

WilStar – OH LA LA: Drip Drop Dope

The inability of most rap artist to breathe creativity in every line of their work is something all good music enthusiast and loyalist can’t help but complain about. So many things have really changed in the rap game these days, it quite seems to be all about jumping right in the boot to record a song the moment the music producer finally hit some nice chords combo to put out a cool beat.

Whatever happened to music with a good intent of addressing a problem?

It ain’t always about cooking up a well-penned cuss/ diss track or spitting those heavy bars while trying to sound like a lyrical prodigy at rap cyphers. Trust me, this Hip Hop song ain’t nothing like what you’ve heard in a long while; it couldn’t have been sang any better.

Apart from that simple but yet captivating “She be Like Oh La La” chorus that softly adds more happy vibe the song, another thing that’s very hard to miss is that brilliant sound that hurls off every iota of uncertainty as regards the validity of the song’s quality, miles away each minute the song plays.

The Flow of the music and the lyrics are also well punctured and organized. It’s really nice to know that Wilstar is still fresh in the industry and I presume he would be able to pull out more dope songs in his subsequent work with ease.

Shaded Profit – I’m Coming Home: Hip Hop At Its Cuddliest

Shaded Profit dropped his new track I’m Coming Home just 10 days ago. This Hip Hop & Rap was well influenced by his home town on the Bronx. He’s no Baller attempting to adopt some grandiose Gin and Juice persona. No, the talented solo artists music is influenced by his awkward experiences as a child as he struggled with his self-proclaimed Nerd persona. To be honest it was just nice to hear a rap artist that had respect for women.

To put it lightly Shaded Profit is adorable and so is his sound which mixes contemporary pop with lyrics that are actually a pleasure to listen to that offer endless introspective poetry. I’m Coming Home is dedicated to the men and women in the Armed Forces, it’s probably the best Hip Hop track of it’s genre since Eminem brought out Toy Soldiers. He takes a tragic subject and puts his lyrics against a traditional upbeat Hip Hop track that take away the gravity of emotion and just immerses you in the music.

Any artist who describes themselves as the result of  Blink 182 having a lovechild with Eminem and Lady Gaga’s backup dancers has got to be worth checking out and when you do you will realise that as descriptions go, it isn’t too bad.  Part quirky pop, part alternative hip-hop and part goofing around, King Dylan’s rap-rock hybrid does nothing less than celebrates life and just oozes positive vibes. It flies in the face of criticism, ignores the detractors, faces down jealousy and reminds us that the only way to live your own life is for yourself.

It takes an Eminem beat and a bounce but stacks it with whimsical, Day-Glo pop, it is celebratory and pulsing with positivity. Already big on the Calgary scene, King Dylan is the sound of life affirming pop, it is both serious and celebratory and even on the strength of this one song, though checking out his back catalogue is highly recommended, he has a great career ahead of him.

Jahfeezus Releases Hip-Hop Track “Higher Learning”

There’s always this stone-cold trait and Mr. tough guy attitude that surrounds a lot of Hip-Hop / Rap music artiste generally, but when you look beyond what there is to be seen in situation such like this one, you’ll discover that the sight of what you will behold ain’t gonna live up to your expectation about most of these rap artiste.
Even till this day, many music fanatics will automatically perceive any raw rapper as the real deal, well; to me, the case is entirely different. Yeah, I know, it all boils down to preference and whatever rocks each individual’s boat.

Sometimes what is sauce for the goose ain’t always gotta be sauce for the gander; it might even be far worse for the gander. The recognition of this fact is what distinguishes the micro and macro in the music industry. Jahfeezus style of rap is quite different from the norm and that’s what uniqueness depicts.
Without massaging or bruising no man’s ego, Jahfeezus might as well be one of the next best lyrists just right after Kendrick and J.cole.

The flow of this song, the tone and the well-penned lyrics will make you to further wonder if Jahfeezus is Kendrick Lamar’s clone or rather his musical doppelganger.

Sherwood Rahming Tells Us All About His High School Crush In Laid Back Tune “The One That Got Away”

Sherwood Rahming is an upcoming hip-hop talent from the Bahamas fusing straight forward lyrics and themes with a soulful vibe and laid back groove. In his song “The One That Got Away” he in fact freely expresses his feelings for his high school crush through lyrics which a lot of people can relate to. But writing passionate thematic material is not Sherwood’s only forte. With jazzy trumpet and guitar lines flowing throughout the instrumental basis of the song a cool and natural aspect is created. Apart from this, the lyrics are also expressed in a light way which subtly and gracefully brings out the humorous aspect behind the theme.

With evident influences from the greats of Neo Soul Sherwood Rahming’s sound in “The One That Got Away” explores mellow relaxed bass grooves, natural guitar lines, sporadic delicate piano tones and a deep warm voice that matter of factly delivers the lyrics with a relaxed tone. All these elements culminate in an organic sound that is both enjoyable and quite interesting, showcasing Sherwood’s musical capabilities and desire to celebrate love even in its simplest and most natural forms while raising his listener’s vibrations to a higher level. This young upcoming talent is definitely one to keep an eye out for!

Nick Notes Releases UK Grime Track ‘See Me Comin’

Nick Notes is a driven, charismatic and passionate hip-hop artist, often compared to major rappers the likes of J Cole, Jay Z or Nas, just to mention a few.

His recent studio single, See Me Comin, is a perfect example of Nick’s lyrical prowess and wide-ranging vocal tone. This track showcase a really kaleidoscopic take on hip-hop, with trap accents and massive beats. The song is also influenced by Grime, with a distinctive UK rap flavor.

One of the things that I enjoy the most about this track is certainly that sensation of the arrangement and the production acting like a very solid “glue”: The beat and the melody are perfectly intertwined, acting as an amazing outlet for Nick’s unique vocals. This song has everything you might want from a great hip-hop track: a tight groove, lush and open melodies, analog-sounding samples; a steady lyrical flow and hooks to die for.

ADZ recently released a brand new remixed version of Silence, one of his most compelling tracks to date. With this thought-provoking remix, he set out to reinvent the groove of the song with a really unique creative concept.

This remix has got some refreshingly new textures and some stunning atmospheres that add depth to the music.

The song begins with a rather mellow vibe, but eventually the groove picks ups and acquires a very uplifting texture, particularly due to the unique tone of the vocals and the drum machine beats, which have a really dry, punchy groove to them.

ADZ has managed to build quite a big following for his conscious and direct approach to rap. His lyrics and sonic aesthetics are conscious and direct, often giving his music a really strong focus on social themes and other issues, inspired by artists as outspoken as Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, J. Cole and many more. Not unlike these aforementioned talents, ADZ is always ready to speak up agains social issues, particularly with a focus on the UK scene. This song, in particular, was inspired by the recent times of political unrest and events such as Brexit, which had  and will have a massive impact on the lives of millions of people, not only throughout the United Kingdom, but throughout the whole world.
