Petra Jasmiina releases single ‘Hours’: A creative and mesmerising story

Finland songwriter Petra Jasmiina has released her single ‘Hours’ with a combination of Indie Pop, Folk and Rock they all interlace with one another to create something poetic and sincere.

The track Hours comes from her four-track debut album ‘Cygnet’. It shares this story of love, nostalgia and loneliness in a storytelling essence. Emphasising how she feels about the beautiful scenery in Finland to the manic life in New York.

A song that describes the way in which time ticks too fast, Petra has a very soothing voice, it has it’s high-pitched tones but it’s mellow and a perfect voice to share a journey through lyrics and instrumentals.

Throughout you hear this chant with the powerful thumps of the Native American drums as it begins to pick up in speed and the suspense begins to take place.

It gives off this feeling as if Petra is running through the forest at a fast pace, this whole track makes you feel like you’re in some sort of fantasy story and it’s amazing how it can do that with mesmerising vocals and calming instrumentals.

You can listen to the new single for yourself by heading over to Spotify.

Finnish Artist Aino Elina Releases Video For “Rukous”

Aino Elina’s type of music is exceptionally beautiful and unique to her to start with. Aino delivered nothing short of class in this song. This music genre is like those therapeutic song that’s rooted in the celestial archive of the electro pop sound.

There was total voice control throughout the duration of this song. With an amazing pitch and vocal power, Aino further made it clear that she’s really the star to watch out for in the music industry. I wish I understood the language she sang the song in, but nonetheless I absolutely enjoyed the music from start to its finish.

This song naturally came with that surreal power of its own. When you listen to the instrument and beat of the song at start you would think it’s Garry Jones rendition of Mad World. If you enjoy listening to New age music then this song might just be the next favourite song on your playlist irrespective of the fact that she sang her song not in English language.

Generally, I really would like to see what Aino next song will sound like because I can’t really say if she’s more of a new age or electro pop singer yet.

This is a nice song and y’all I trust you guys will agree with with on this that this song is just perfectly produced.

Finnish Duo Us! Release Mature Pop Video “Miracle”

https://youtu.be/b1pzgjd30_w

It is great when you hear bands and you struggle to see quite where it fits into the musical canon. Well, I think so anyway, what’s so good about conforming to what has gone before. That Miracle is based on a pop vibe is not in any doubt but this Finnish duo add so much more to the usual commercially viable package. Pop is at its best when it is slick and well produced, but on top of that here is a band which reveal in elegance and maturity and almost classical vocal deliveries, pop has often been big but rarely this clever.

It sits somewhere between chart accessibility and musical theatre, retaining the infectiousness of the former and absorbing the integrity of the latter, and in both audio and visual spheres Us! demonstrates that there is a welcome alternative to the jarringly saccharine careers pursued by several of her peers. Not only a great song offering an alternate take on what pop can be about but one which reminds us as much of where the genre has come from as to where it is going. Us! Are great and their success is not only most welcome it also seems inevitable.

Since November release moving track ‘Star System’

Bright pianos and organic strings don’t always get grouped in with lively breakbeat influences. After hearing Star System by Since November, you’ll be asking why this is the case. Soft vocals that would be expected to fit into more electronic settings become the perfect glue for awe-inspired arpeggios and reverent string arrangements. This track defies convention and expectation. In its wake is unadulterated possibility.

To call this song uplifting would be a grand oversimplification. This song may bring a sense of freedom and even a smile to your face, but this song has more than a good time in store. There is beauty here and it’s worth dwelling on. It’s repetitive but never boring and every time the loop breaks, it feels as if you’ve discovered a completely new outlook on the world around you.

Star System shows you the door to frontiers that aren’t always accessible. This is what so many people love about music in a general sense. It rekindles our nostalgias, enhances our good times, and understands us when we’re down. Since November has something different in mind though. The mission here is to move people.  Mission certainly accomplished. One can only hope more artists take notice of the style exuded on this track. If not, we can eagerly anticipate more from Since November.

A&R Factory Present: Alba

Alba presents her latest release titled “Life of a Bird” a song that is all about moody melodies and emotional vocals that combines the track into an epic piece of “Nordic Noir” vibed indie pop.

Anni Sinilahti, who goes by the artist name ALBA, is a singer-songwriter and producer from Finland. Her artist name was inspired by a meeting with an old man whilst travelling through Morocco, who told her that the name would bring her fortune in life. After leaving Finland at the age of 16 to busk in the streets of London, ALBA returned to her home country to work on her solo releases and write for other artists.

To date, her cover of Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love me like you do’ has gained over 300,000 plays on Soundcloud and her latest collaboration ‘One and Wild’ with DJ and producer Tarmo has been played more than half a million times onSpotify. Her musical influences vary from indie names such as Fever Ray and the Knife to pop artists including Britney Spears and Tove Lo.

In 2016 ALBA met producer Aleksi Kiiskinen aka MAULWURF and they wrote and produced her upcoming single in one sitting. One could say that it was music at first sight. This debut single, ‘Life of a Bird’ is due to be released in February 2017

A&R Factory Present: Polanski

POLANSKI takes on the work of the 90’s, bringing back music that used to heavily resonate within the communities that love distorted guitars, psychedelic sounds and escapism in it’s lyrical form.

Bursting out from the worn-out scene of Helsinki, Finland, this band delivers it’s vision in a very unabashed way. The hungry, unapologizing musical performance of the band is tied together with a self sanctifying and unyielding lyrical and vocal dispatch that leaves everything on the table.

This band will most likely make you reminisce the times when appealing, enigmatic and self- conscious rock music was still very much alive and celebrated. Think over, this band is happening right now.
