Spotlight Feature: AMRIX has launched his EDM track that will follow you into the dark, ‘Don’t Be Afraid’

The Perth-hailing EDM artist & producer AMRIX gave a Grammy-worthy performance in his debut single, Don’t Be Afraid, which carries all the intimately compassionate soul of I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab for Cutie on the smoothed-out-with-reverb synth lines which build into one of the most heartfelt crescendos you’re likely to ever to hear.

The tenderly mid-tempo hit amasses evocative visceralism around the builds and breaks in a similar vein to Avicii’s emotion-driven singles; AMRIX has what it takes to leave as much of a mark on the industry with his songwriting stripes that can drive you to the brink of tears while constructing a sanctuary to slip into when dark clouds permeate your perspective.

Collaborating with lyricist Matt Miller, a guest vocalist, and Ruben Castro, who mixed and mastered the self-produced release, the genre fusionist achieved his goal of creating timelessly impactful music that resonates with listeners on a deep emotional level.

While other EDM artists are busying themselves releasing trite high-vibe summer hits that do little more than contribute to unrealistic expectations of a utopic season, AMRIX is cutting right to the core of sincerity with his elevated discography; I know which kind of artist I will be putting on my radar for future installations of resonant euphonic compassion.

In his own words, here’s what AMRIX had to say on his first installation of electro RnB-Pop:

“Don’t Be Afraid is inspired by personal experiences and the universal struggle of developing trust in relationships. It explores the vulnerability and strength required to open up to another person fully.”

Don’t Be Afraid hit the airwaves on July 28; stream it on Spotify.

Flamenco & Electro Amalgamate in Kuma Pop’s Progressive Production, Por Dentro ft Jey Varez

Kuma Pop

Stellar songwriter and producer Kuma Pop teamed up with the Andalusian artist Jey Varez, who layered his exotically inviting flamenco vocals into the soul-heavy feat of electro house, Por Dentro.

His vulnerably sincere vocal notes open the progressive track, which evolves from a shimmering feat of downtempo house into a playful synth-pop mix before ramping up the energy to reveal a bass-drenched drop-filled anthem, orchestrated to make you lose your head and find your heart on the dancefloor.

Every beat was succinctly placed to make Por Dentro (which translates to ‘Inside’ in English) an evocative rollercoaster that lovers of progressive anthems will never tire of riding. It’s as imploring as it is clever; we hope to hear more collaborative chemistry from the dynamic duo.

Por Dentro will officially release on December 2nd; check it out on Spotify.

Vagic has released his liberatingly euphoric sophomore single, Free.

https://open.spotify.com/track/10onpHKxFtoNjVdDg7AcQB?si=17da5b34089b442a

After making their 2021 debut, the electronica artist and producer Vagic has released their liberatingly sweet sophomore single, Free. Even with a few nods to Avicii, Vagic lives in no icon’s shadow with his enrapturing drops and ability to keep the momentum flowing right throughout the progressive electro house hit.

While the female vocals tempt hedonism, the instrumentals strip inhibition through the galvanising grooves that remind you how sweet letting loose and being free are. With a few more floor-fillers under their belt, we do not doubt that Vagic’s rise from the underground is imminent.

Free is now available to stream on Spotify.

The Moontown Project evoke dancefloor nostalgia with their indie electro vignette, ‘Mademoiselle’

The UK duo The Moontown Project is back with their indie vibes, post-punk lyrics and genre-evading electronic beats with their latest single, ‘Mademoiselle’.

Ingeniously, the Moontown Project captured club atmosphere in a way that doesn’t give you that stir-crazed desperation for life to return to ‘normal’, but in a way that allows you to vividly revisit the times that came to you on a dancefloor and will stay with you forever.

With their second single, the Moontown Project’s sonic palette consisted of two step rhythms, funk-riding bass and synth lines that tie the track together and create an immersive electro house vignette of dancefloor culture and euphoria.

The duo that consists of Will Swain-Smith on guitar & lead vocals and Guy Molony on keys, bass & lead vocals made waves in London prior to their recent relocation to Leeds which marks a major shift in their career and determination to allow their sound to resound far beyond the districts of London.

Their debut single has already received attention and airplay from BBC Introducing: London, Amazing Radio, Hoxton Radio, Independent Music News and Soundwave Magazine. After signing with Stogey Records, they are set to truly come into their own in 2021.

They have major plans to take their fusion sounds on tour across the country, and thankfully, fans won’t have to wait for long before another ethereal release from The Moontown Project. Don’t just get them on your radar, get them in your gig diary.

Mademoiselle officially released on May 14th; head over to Spotify to hear it.

Illmatiq has dropped their entrancing Electro House Viral-Worthy hit ‘Roses’ featuring Fin Music Universal

Dance artist and producer Illmatiq may be new to the industry, but his debut EP, ‘Boy Meets World’, featuring Fin Music Universal, is ablaze with high-octane nuance and maturity.

The EP features the standout single ‘Roses’, there’s a beautiful sense of irony in the fact that the track is an absolute gift to the airwaves. It definitely wouldn’t have been out of place on Chase & Status’ iconic No More Idols collaborative album.

Without a hint of hyperbole, the Trancey Electro House beats deserves to go viral. Whatever mood it catches you in, Roses is going to boost it. With the irresistible blasts of bass finding perfect synergy with the trailblazing artist’s grimy vocals, you’ll want to give Roses plenty of repeat attention every time you want to feel rhythmically instilled euphoria.

Botolv – Filmmer: Cinematically Anthemic Electro House

Norwegian-based artist Botolv set the bar for up and coming Electro House with his latest single “Filmmer” which is so powerful it is bordering on cinematic. There aren’t many cinematic scores which pack in the same upbeat euphoric energy of Filmmer, yet the crystal-clear production of the track which runs with unrelenting melody is as stylish as EDM gets. In Botolv’s deft command the single was brought to life with pure unrestrained passion which was tangible within each seamless progression and unpredictable turn the single took.

The instrumental track runs for the perfect length of time to allow you to immerse yourself in the soundscape, so when the drops come – you’re definitely going with them.

Karel & XoJani – Dancing; Sun-Soaked Electro House Hooks

There are certainly no shortages of progressive electro house artists on the scene to date, so for Karel & XoJani’s latest single Dancing to shine so iridescently brighter than the rest was a pure testament to their anthemic style.

With vocals as gripping as you’d come to expect from acts such as London Grammar and Warpaint, and a beat as fresh and stylised as Avicii’s iconic hits, I can’t see how Karel & Xoani won’t be reaching the top of the EDM charts before long. The lyrics followed a beautiful narrative which hooked you as much as the instrumental hooks to the track. The production quality is just the cherry on the cake, every level sat at the perfect pitch to allow you to sink into the deep grooves and drops riddled into the sweet tempo of the beat.

You can check out the official lyric video to Karel & XoJani’s latest single which was released in July 2018 – just in time for summer so EDM fans could soak up the sun-soaked ecstasy which is riddled into the melodies.
