Californian singer-songwriter Sunny shines in her latest jazz-infused acoustic single, Bones.

Adult contemporary singer-songwriter and musician Sunny has released her soul-laden acoustic jazz infusion single, Bones, which would fall into the easy listening category if it wasn’t for the breezy melodic alchemy that flows through the affectionately provoking release.

The Californian artist was born into a musical family; she picked up an acoustic guitar at age 15 and devoted her life to music and songwriting from there on out. Based on Bones, every second of dedication paid off in this tranquilly mellifluous soundscape that exhibits the ethereal nature of her innocently expressive vocal timbre.

Tim Reynolds & Michael Sokolowski take us on a Soul Pilgrimage with their latest guitar-infused electronica album.

Long-time collaborators Tim Reynolds & Michael Sokolowski have teamed up once more for their guitar & synth duet album, Soul Pilgrimage. The standout symphonic piece, Freighter Hop, carries the dark and ominous textures of post-punk in the ambiently arranged synth lines while the warm bluesy guitar notes transform it into an invigoratingly optimistic soundscape.

If anyone has what it takes to prove that the future of music will be synthesised, it is Tim Reynolds & Michael Sokolowski. Their album was released on August 25th, 2021; it is available to stream on all major platforms; the vinyl release is due on October 31st, 2021.

OSLU sets a sophisticated cinematic score in Goodbye Old Friend.

Jazz fusionist and soundtrack composer OSLU released their latest album, Explaudere, on October 1st. By taking modern film scores and classical music as inspiration, the neo-blues pioneer orchestrates accessible soundscapes that tenderly bind you into the ease of the progressions and the cinematic flair.

The instrumental single, Goodbye Old Friend, uses clean-cut blues guitars, shimmering crescendos and nuanced rock elements to testify to OSLU’s ingenuity when it comes to creating orchestral catharsis. It would be no surprise to see OSLU’s name on a Blockbuster’s roll of end credits. The sheer talent is enough to allow you to question everything you heard on the radio today.

Nelda – A perfect pick-me-up with ‘If It Wasn’t For Your Love’

Coming in with some lusciously tasteful piano, jazzy, uplifting, and mellow, ‘If It Wasn’t For Your Love’ is a gorgeous ‘thank you’ to family and childhood nurturing, all wrapped up in a mix of jazz, blues, and gentle pop, singer songwriter Nelda Kuzuma’s soulful vocal and keys mixing with Artis Aleksejevs’ tasteful brushed drums and clarinet and brother Arturs’ wandering, laconic bassline and synths. Think old-school club, all smoky noir and tabletop tealight candles, twenties-style cocktail dresses and zoot suits, and you won’t go far wrong.

It’s beautifully played and arranged, restrained yet lively, thankful and joyous and oh so, so good, Kuzuma’s smooth, syrupy delivery absolutely soothing and caressing, sultry and sensual and seemingly effortless, leaping over the rolling tempo changes and that tight-but-loose rhythm section groove. At a point where the world feels just ever-so-slightly over-ridden with negative uncertainty, ‘If It Wasn’t For Your Love’ is, simply, a glorious time-out; an absolute upswing of positivity, laid-back, chilled, and delivered with such utter charm and feel it’s impossible not to feel just a little bit brighter for listening. It’s a perfect pick-me-up prescription.

John David delivers a jazzy invitation to live happy with his swinging Pop hit “Drama”.

With a thriving, Jazzy pulse, Pop newcomer John David’s latest single Drama (I’m Going Off) comes to life and introduces you to a stylistic infusion of new school and old school.

The Minnesota teen is already able to offer maturity and nuance in his sound, but his true talent lies in his ability to lead you into a soundscape that you’ll become utterly enraptured by. We all have those people in our lives which bring unnecessary drama to our doors, hit play on this swinging show tune and you’ll enjoy their pedantry being torn to pieces by John David’s soul-stroking crooning.

Dangerbirds – Red Tea: Kaleidoscopically Entrancing Melodic Jazz

‘Immersive’ isn’t usually the first adjective which comes to mind to describe a standout track from Jazz ensemble but discernibly, the Leeds-lauded Jazz outfit Dangerbirds are anything but archetypal.

After forming in 2018, Dangerbirds took their time crafting their transcendently warm album “Shapes”. Part Ambient Jaz and Part Progressive Melodic Instrumental Rock, the album is a deluge of complexity weaved into trustable rhythms. The standout track is undoubtedly Red Tea, it may not use typical time signatures, yet, you’ll want to surrender your pulses to the alchemy weaved by virtuoso-level composer and guitarist Sam Horan regardless.

Never let it be said that Jazz can’t be accessible and fit for contemporary airwaves.

If it has been a while since a soundscape has left you rhythmically entranced, you’ll definitely want to delve into the transcendent textures offered by up and coming artist Trak Doe’s recently released single Guitar Smooth.

Guitar Smooth finds the perfect balance between ambience and vivaciousness. The vibrance of the notes charge up the energy while the tenderly meandering notes lead you to relaxation. With the crystal clear iridescence, it’s hard not to succumb to the serenity in the instrumental Latin RnB track.

Up and coming crooner Wil Pearson has released their latest sultry earworm “I Wish You Well”

Up and coming artist Wil Pearson has recently released his sultry feat of Easy Listening “I Wish You Well” which proves that he definitely isn’t your average crooner.

The contemporary twist which he puts on the timeless Jazz-infused style strips away the archaic connotations of the genre and replaces it with contemporary accessibility. If his meltingly magnetic vocals weren’t enough, there’s also a strikingly cinematic instrumental breakdown where the electric guitar and the brass battle to dominate the otherwise serene Bluesy soundscape. Mindblowing feels like an understatement. If you could imagine what it would sound like if Michael Buble, The Arctic Monkeys and Slash collaborated on a record, you might just get an idea of what is in store if you hit play on I Wish You Well.

David Wakeling – Just Believe in Yourself: Inspirationally Celestial Easy Listening

David Wakeling has recently released their latest solo album “Fly Away”, each of the singles is soulfully pure and incredibly resonant. Yet, the standout single has to be “Just Believe in Yourself” which certainly doesn’t fail to draw you into the celestial nature of the psychedelic single.

There may be a fair few tracks which have been composed around the subject of believing in yourself. But when it is coming from a person who has produced ten solo albums and found the spare time to be a Doctor, David Wakeling is undoubtedly someone with plenty of inspirational introspective to share. And that’s exactly what we found in Just Believe in Yourself. David Wakeling doesn’t play around with frills, pander to contemporary trends or hide behind electronic effects in his music, the end result? An irresistibly indulgent soundscape which offers inviting sentimentality which won’t be easily forgotten.
