Trey Connor is a 23 year old indie-pop-rock songwriter and guitarist from a small town close to Detroit in Michigan. Rising the music scene quickly since his debut at 13, Trey has written and released two EP’s with the band called “Punished For My Innocence” and “Here We Come”.
This new track ”The Way You Move” is taken off his latest release ”Horizons” and comes crashing in like a blue beach on a stunning summers day.
Now based in Austin, Texas- Trey is back with a hot new single to keep the pulses racing. This indie-pop served up in a star dusted love letter. Trey makes his mark here with his trademark voice that is clearly improving all the time. This is a love-story of love that is up and down. You care about each other but perhaps the timing isn’t quite there.
”The Way You Move” by Trey Connor is an excellent single that is well-crafted and a pleasure to the tired ears and heart.

You feel the pain deep in your heart and all you want is for it to go away. You can’t make it go away so you drown it out and soon everything feels all numb. You sink in a hole and you think you are never going to come out. You miss that loved one. Will you be strong for them. Or will you sink in the quicksand and never reach your goals in memory of the one you lost?
I haven’t been feeling too much new Hip Hop lately. As a 90’s Hip Hop fan I miss the old school beat and the storytelling. When I turned on Ebgbev’s ”Numb to the Pain” for the first time I experienced a feeling I hadn’t for so long. This new track has a real story.
Ebgbev unfortunately just lost his father due to to horrible coronavirus pandemic that has changed the way the world works. This is a terrible loss and we extend our condolences to Ebgbev and his family.
After losing my own father back in 2001 I got emotional after listening to this song. The pain eases sometimes but it never really goes away. Ever. You always want that one more moment to ask the old man a question. All you can do is remember the good times and cherish his memory.
This new Hip Hop track is well executed and the beat captures the moment to perfection. It’s piano background adds to the picture that he has created for us. This is new school Hip Hop with a new school feel. I like the lyricism and I’ll be keeping an eye out for more releases from Ebgbev as we all should.
Detroit in Michigan has a new emcee to embrace. With his Pops looking out for him up above, the sky is the limit.

Young Emcee from the US, ‘Maz’, is here with a dope style that is sure to bring him lots of fans.
‘Maz’ has a raw delivery and he spits straight up facts on the mic. We should all pay attention as this Rapper is on the way up, all in the hometown of the legend; Eminem.
New to the game but steppin’ up quick, ‘Maz’ also produces his own music and does the artwork. It’s that DIY approach that is going to take him places. Rather than wait for things to come to him, this young Emcee is pushing his way in.
‘Maz’ is a name to watch in the Hip Hop scene, he is a talented lyricist and he is still very new to the game. With more experience and finetuning his beats, this Emcee is on the way up. Detroit first and then wherever he wants to go.
Detroit based duo Gifted Balance have released ‘Middle of the Night’ – a late-night neo-R&B track.
Eerie but melodically lush, ‘Middle of the Night’ diverges from an initially glitched out introduction to carving right into a ping-ponging vocal line. It’s a polished track, and it glides pretty organically from sombre, lo-fi tones to triumphantly pleasant twinkles and starlit pads – all in a sort of luxury car suspension thanks to the soft texturing and engineering throughout.
‘Middle of the Night’ feels right for the kind of late night asphalt you want to be spinning this track to and there’s some real weight to be had behind this listen. Definitely recommended for any hazy playlists that could do with a bit more ambience and soul behind the curtain.
I honestly wasn’t expecting such a shootout of rhymes when I hit play on Ryn Scott’sExecute, let alone my laptop speakers clipping out to the heavy beats.
My first thought went to that Slim Shady motif that conquered Hip Hop’s golden 90’s and Dre’s handprint in the piano loops spiraling into a melodic vortex that sucks down the cumulative mass of mainstream rappers we’re so saturated with.
Execute goes beyond those withered stems of rap bars by cultivating a unique sound through a type of storytelling that poeticizes simple but well-structured harmonies for an authentic pure Hip-Hop banger.
If this is the premise, Ryn Scott has a talent ready to bloom.
