Amber Kori seduced Chicago Deep House with her latest mix, Buzz Me In

Amber Kori’s Buzz Me In is as close to ASMR seduction as deep house gets. By choosing romanticism over the superficial sheen of lust-fuelled progressions, she created a soulfully euphonic cut that grows more hypnotic each time the hook returns.

The Chicago deep-house evocateur threads her reprising lyricism through the mix with a breathy confidence, turning “buzz me in” into the ultimate trigger phrase for the steamy atmosphere she builds around it. The effect is practically the sonic equivalent of a handprint on a steamed-up car window; condensed heat meeting the smooth friction of soul-deep passion.

Leirbag X.O. Threads a Sonic Scalpel Through the Ether in the Avant-Garde Electronica Cut ‘Earth Paradise Hell’

Earth Paradise Hell is just one of the viscerally affecting hits in Leirbag X.O.’s discography—if this release is anything to go by, no one will be in line to tell the French producer to watch their tone. Starting out in the vein of a pulse-pounding deep-house anthem, the single quickly transmutes into transcendence to sonically visualise the paradise alluded to in the title. Through arresting quiescence, the cultivated producer compels you to lean into the instrumental soundscape far enough that you can feel the textures bleed into your anatomy, leaving you at the mercy of the concluding chapter of the single which feeds disquieting motifs into the ambience, reaching the epitome of harbingering while never forsaking the diaphanous euphony.

Clearly, Leirbag X.O. grabbed a cleaver and ensured he was a cut above the rest through Earth Paradise Hell—a cut deep enough to expose the full contrast between serenity and dissonance without losing control of either. Radio-Activity haunted the dancefloor with their house anthem,  Ghost of You

Radio-Activity’s single ‘Ghost of You,’ may have been released this summer, but it is veritably one of the hottest Halloween EDM House drops of 2024. The anthem juxtaposes luminously lit euphoria with dark, moody, atmospheric chills that wrap around solid basslines, crafting a soundscape that haunts as much as it kinetically adrenalises.

Though initially known as a rock powerhouse, Radio-Activity has indisputably found their forte in the EDM house arena. The cleverly constructed track has allowed them to emerge as rock stars of the EDM genre. With ‘Ghost of You,’ they invite listeners to find the rhythmic rapture in being haunted by your own heart in the aftermath of a breakup.

Like The Prodigy, Die Antwoord, Skrillex, and Pendulum, who were welcomed into the rock community with open arms, we anticipate alt-music fans finding just as much favour in the fervour of this release. Someone Famous’ moniker is going to become a self-fulfilling prophecy if they continue to produce tracks in the same future-defining vein as their blister of electronic euphoria, This is a Pleasure.

The debut single was right on the titular money for the way the transcendentally bright tones and luminous textures scintillate through the progressions as they juxtapose the depth of the basslines which bolster the track with rhythmic prowess. With melodic elements of ambient deep house fused with a 90s Euro dance energy and captivating vocal lines which effortlessly embody the soulful catharsis within the meticulously layered and produced instrumentals, This is a Pleasure couldn’t be closer to what it says on the tin.

With new releases locked, loaded and ready to infuse the airwaves with refreshing syntheses of innovation, Someone Famous is an artist to keep on your radar through 2024. Timothy and the Apocalypse took his listeners to alt-electro ‘Nirvana’ with his latest release

The Australian alt-electronica augmenter Timothy and the Apocalypse took his sound to new celestial heights with the release of his latest single, Nirvana; the merit of it is almost enough to dissipate the synonymousness between Kurt Cobain and the track title.

With the opening vocals resounding with a spiritually ceremonial timbre across the lush layers of reverb, the artist and producer set the bar transcendently high from the intro, and still managed to rise above it with the shoegazey dream-pop guitars which bring introduce the solid backbeat that affixes a strong gravitational pull to the ever-ascending melodic lines.

Midway through the track comes a euphoric uplift, which defies all expectations of Timothy and the Apocalypse. Since 2021, he’s held dominion over the ambient trip-hop scene and dominated the associated playlists. With Nirvana, he broke new ground by progressing his new release into a track that could fill a floor and rhythmically drive it into fervour. Amalgams of IDM and deep house don’t come much more electrifying than this.

Sensitive Golgoth’s ambient deep house cut, Aie confiance !, went right down to the bone

Life science researcher by day and electronic producer by night, Sensitive Golgoth poured just as much intellect into their latest single, Aie confiance ! as they injects into their research on how digital worlds may help humans empathise with other lifeforms.

The ambient deep house soundscape is an extension of their empirical work, which can be quantifiably noted through the blurred boundaries between the material and synthesised worlds. The groove-driven beats mellifluously cruise through the cathartically elemental atmosphere of the release that uses naturalism as a soundboard.

The transcendentally resonant bliss is a bubble that you never want to burst once the melodies get into intrinsically organic motion. Short of stepping out into nature and forest bathing, there’s no better way to connect with the universe than delving into Aie confiance !
