If you have a tendency to overshare, don’t cringe about your proclivity to spill TMI; tune into the latest futuristic feat of bubblegum pop from the effortlessly relatable artist, Mara Liddle.

Oversharing hits you with the instant hooks; once your rhythmic pulses are receptive to the euphonically synth-driven sticky sweet melodies, the independent songstress utilises her candour-fuelled wordplay as reassurance that you’re not the only one that struggles with boundaries and self-consciousness.

The auto-tuned vocals effortlessly synergise with the high-energy pop beats, which made me reminisce about the days when Shiny Toy Guns reigned supreme while anticipating the bright future of the songwriter, who is currently hard at work on her upcoming EP.

90s Nostalgia meets the future of house in the Freshcobar & Golden Girl Remix of ‘Missing’.

Freshcobar & Golden Girl gave the iconic 1994 hit, Missing by Everything But the Girl the house treatment in their entrancing new remix that is set to drop on all major platforms on April 28th. The indie guitars have been stripped-back to make room for the big beats, even bigger drops, and the colossal atmosphere that cloaks the remix drenches you in nostalgia while allowing you to simultaneously sample the future of house music.

The Missing Remix is the third single from the producer Freshcobar and the San Diego vocalist Golden Girl. Together, they reincarnated the 90s classic hit with far more intensity and fervour than the original contained, but the vocal mystique is right on brand. The deserts may have missed the rain, but my God, the dancefloors will have also missed this hit. Not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they’re reimagining and enlivening the soundtracks to our youth.

Drunk in Love Dance Pop: Lucy Crisp – One Summers Day

Good love songs ring with romantic sincerity; great love songs get you drunk on someone else’s love; Lucy Crisp’s latest single, One Summers Day, is definitively in the latter camp.

By taking a leaf or two from Taylor Swift’s lyrical book and producing her own EDM pop signature with a little help from her co-producer, Nathan Flynn, Lucy Crisp came into her vibrant summer vibes own while doing what us mere mortals always struggle to succeed in; expressing love in its true visceral form.

It has been six months since the last single from the Nottingham indie dance pop innovator. Her return has signalled a new era in her artistry, which previously received plaudits from BBC Introducing. It is safe to say that she’s lost none of her radio-ready touch with One Summers Day, which traverses the organic peaks and flows of a healthy relationship. No dynamic is perfect; instead of shooting for an implausible ideal, keep hold of what’s real. Lucy has warned her fans not to get too comfortable with her sticky sweet new sound. Her upcoming releases will touch upon a life lived with chronic illness while exploring themes of foreseen fear and depression.

Lizzie Hosking is back with her catchier-than-a-wildfire brand of pop with her latest infectiously-hooked hit, Stress You Out. With her sultry vocal lines running across the funk-deep disco groove pockets, there’s plenty of era-spanning familiarity to the track but there’s no denying that the one-woman powerhouse is the future of pop.

The Adelaide-hailing singer-songwriter never fails to spin a compelling narrative with her lyricism; when her witty relatability is rubbing up against freshly innovated tones and funky guitar chops that will leave you wanting to enjoy them under a glistening disco ball, her tracks become all the more exhilarating. The electroclash descent into obscurity towards the outro is enough to justify relentlessly hitting repeat on Stress You Out; she’s the perfect antagonist. Vengefully rubbing someone up the wrong way has never been so electrifying.

Parisian electro-pop icon Andrea Dee lit an alchemically emboldened fire under her single, Be Her

If you can imagine what it would sound like if Breach and Bjork collaborated on a record, you can get an idea of the fiery aural alchemy contained in the latest electro-pop hit, Be Her, from the trailblazingly magnetic songwriter and producer Andrea Dee.

The single, co-produced by Aaron Knight, is slick with unfuckwithable attitude that Andrea Dee pulls off flawlessly. The unapologetic celebration of her own autonomy becomes as infectious and addictive as the lyrical hook that reprises through the stormer of an earworm, “It’s music that makes me be her”. I can totally relate.

With the bi-lingual lyrics bringing euro dance flavour to the mix that also found room for indie funk guitar licks, the Parisian singer-songwriter affirmed that she’s got a place in the industry – and it is way above the underground.

Chasing Abbey – Lie: 10/10 Sociopaths Will Detest The Taste of This Dance-Driven-Pop Ear Milk

What do you say about one of the freshest pop palettes of the decade, let alone the year? The scintillatingly sweet soul in the latest single, Lie, from the Irish outfit Chasing Abbey is enough to make a sociopath swoon at something other than their ability to manipulate for personal pleasure.

Capturing the deceit that hits the hardest, when it comes from someone holding your vulnerability in your hands, the electro-dance-pop earworm goes out to anyone in the same boat. While the synth lines deliver their glistening stabs, the steady builds and breaks in the backbeat work to entrance you as much as the titular reprise, which seems to garner more meaning with every repetition of that monosyllabic three-letter word that will be reverberating around your head long after this hit has faded to a close.

Taking the inspiration of the dance-driven pop hits from the 2010s; Chasing Abbey did more than emanate the likes of Swedish House Mafia and MK; they set the bar for every artist that wants to transcend their sound, which has seen them win the Irish Song of the Year Award at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize, sell-out national tours and support The Chainsmokers, Rita Ora and Enrique Iglesias.

YME adrenalized self-liberation in her euphoric electro-pop hit, I Rule the World

Since making her 2021 debut, the Netherlands-hailing electro-pop sensation YME has established herself as one to watch alongside her producer, Marco Roosink, as she transcribes personal experience into vulnerably infectious earworms.

The independent artist’s latest single, I Rule the World is a triumphantly empowering track which does plenty more than testifies to individual strength; it shares the euphoria of self-liberation. As her vocals switch between ethereal soul to demurely playful grace, it’s impossible not to get caught up in the adrenalized helter-skelter hit that embeds entrancing elements around addictively encapsulating lyrics.

Lyfe created a disco fever endemic with the euphoric soul in his latest funk-pop single, Tonight

For his latest single, Tonight, the up-and-coming artist, Lyfe, served a potent cocktail of pop, funk, disco, and soul. Rather than evoking nostalgia from one era, the artist, who is dominating more and more of the metaverse with every subsequent release, simultaneously took us to the 60s, 70s and 80s in a dizzying feat of sonic time travel.

While you time-hop through the funk-chopped guitars, glistening piano glissandos and heady four-to-the-floor beat, Lyfe creates collaborative alchemy with the celestially timbered backing vocalists who pour a profound level of euphoric soul into the feverish with disco track.

Each song from Lyfe’s 20-track debut album has its own virtual world in the Metaverse. Before the debut LP, Lyfe founded YXY ODY Studios to create a series of NFT drops and The Odyssey Metaverse. He also deployed one of the biggest virtual concerts yet, with over 40,000 attendees.
