Denver-based angelic wonder Lolita is at her enchanting best with ‘I’m Not Waiting’

After sending us a brilliant song all about moving away from those fake intentions of others with ‘Sober Without Your Love‘, Lolita returns with an imagination-filled single that will have you delving deeper into what is possible if you believe enough with ‘I’m Not Waiting‘.

Lolita is a soulfully sweet Denver, Colorado-based indie-pop solo artist who studied at the University of Colorado and has a Bachelors’s Degree in Music Business and Entertainment Industry Studies.

I wake up on a shipwreck. In a frenzy, as I try to find the exit to the ship; I see three white dogs and intuitively follow them down a flight of stairs to the first level of the ship. I run to the exit, as I get closer to the door, I notice that it’s being blocked by an orca whale. I ask “can you make way so that I can leave this ship?” the whale speaks, “you’re not allowed to exit this ship for the rest of your life.” ~ Lolita

Lolita is comprehensively outstanding yet again as her heavenly voice navigates you away from your previous struggles and into a purer world – that is away from all the disheartening smoke – that can smog out your soul from finding its true purpose.

I’m Not Waiting‘ from the excellent Colorado-based indie-pop solo artist Lolita is an incredibly beautiful song about trying to find your way out of a ticky situation that you need to get away from. With stunning vocals and an air of elegance that sends your enthralled body into absolute raptures, you will feel so intertwined into her gorgeously sung vocals and an atmosphere that you will surely feel so elated by.

The Drood bring the ritualistic catharsis in ‘It Must Needs Wither’.

The Drood

The essence of The Drood’s latest single, It Must Needs Wither is a captured ritual. An invitation to cherish the memories of the many lives lost in the years leading up to this Shakespearean release that took inspiration from the tragic play Othello.

For their ritualistically cathartic release, the Denver, Colorado-based electronic duo, used post-rock, Eastern psych and industrial for their dreamy textures. For the vocals, they opted for an ethereal quiescent timbre to rival the harmonic ambience in the dreamiest Beach House and Slowdive releases.

The haunting explorative progressions carry cynical lament while light transcendent textures bring comfort to the affirmation that for all of our artifices, we’re still the same primal creatures. Primal creatures plagued by the vulnerability of mortality and the psychological afflictions that drive us to acts of madness that are all too easily romanticised in our minds.

It Must Needs Wither will officially release on January 25th, 2022. You can check it out for yourselves via Spotify.

Colorado’s The Hell Raisin’ Hippies take us into the ‘Trance of the Alien Vaccine’

Inspired by the late greats Dimebag Darrell and Janis Joplin, The Hell Raisin’ Hippies open up our minds to a vividly described experience you won’t be able to forget easily with ‘Trance of the Alien Vaccine‘.

Erica and Jerry Joplin aka The Hell Raisin’ Hippies is a Colorado-based, Texas-born indie-electronic act who joyously live the 420 hippie life to the fullest.

The underlying concepts of our music are intellectual freedom, individualism, and of course – UFOs. We use an amusing and light-hearted approach to convey existential and intellectual messages to people who consider themselves citizens of the world.” ~ The Hell Raisin’ Hippies

As far as music ventures go that has you admiring the sheer volume of authenticity that is wrapped inside a thought-provoking narrative to light up, The Hell Raisin’ Hippies are surely one of the most distinct bands in the world. There is a mysterious beat to unravel that has you looking around curiously – as you wonder if what you actually believe is the truth – or a false story that has been twisted so many times it’s bent a false picture into your eyes.

Trance of the Alien Vaccine‘ from free-minded Colorado-based experimental electronic act The Hell Raisin’ Hippies, is a really enlightening track that is filled with sounds from another world and samples from the news, as we are driven into a unique release to truly savour. This is a music duo who choose to think differently to many, and must be commended on delivering a single that that has you pondering the very world that we find ourselves locked inside.

Gunpoint Alibi deliver the evolution that alt-rock fans have been waiting for with their latest single, Bury Me

‘Bury Me’ is the latest fierce slice of alt-rock from the Denver, Colorado-based powerhouse Gunpoint Alibi. What started as a garage-punk cover band in 2019 evolved into a gnarly post-hardcore outfit complete with ensnaring high-octane instrumental hooks and harsh pop-punk vocals that fall away from the Hayley Williams mould (thank God!) into raucous new territory.

Morgan Elizabeth’s vocal confidence runs in parallel to the levels of conviction and dynamism; she could smash through a screamo track just as well as a Taylor Swift hit. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also the infectious sense of playfulness she uses as she attacks the lyrics with her versatile vocal timbre. We can’t wait to hear how they follow on from this monster of an alt-rock evolution.

Bury Me is now available to stream on Spotify.

Fed Up: Excellent Denver pop artist Lolita grows tired of the fake intentions on ‘Sober Without Your Love’

Closing the door quickly behind her as that trying-to-fix-this-romance-mission is certainly in the rearview mirror, Lolita moves on so that she can start the healing process on the leaving-now new single ‘Sober Without Your Love‘.

Lolita is an indie alt-pop singer-songwriter from Denver, Colorado in the USA. A former student who graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelors Degree in Music Business and Entertainment Industry Studies, you feel her true connection to the mic – as her pure vocals shine a beautiful light – away from the all-too-common darkness of modern times.

Her new single depicts the clarity that comes when the effects of cupid’s arrow have worn off. Lolita’s lyrics have an air of relief describing the pivotal moment when she realized that she’d been taking on the responsibility of mending her broken relationship; all the while her partner cruised on the assumption that she’d always be there, despite her partner’s lack of effort.” ~ Lolita

Sober Without Your Love‘ from the outstanding Denver, Colorado-based alt-pop solo artist Lolita, shows us a fiercely indie singer who performs with such a beautifully authentic vibe for us all to be completely immersed by. This is the story about waving goodbye to someone who was formally close to you – that stupidly took you for granted – as you now feel used, and so glad that this former love is now over. Keeping your valuable heart happy is the only mission now, in this swipe-quick and forget-fast type of world.

This is an impressive single from a determined singer-songwriter, who has brought us such a relatable track to truly love for its incredibly authentic quality.

With a bounce in his step and a smile on his dial, DRUZi is only keen to live one moment at a time as he looks to meet someone who gets his whole vibe in life and doesn’t care about what his name is on ‘Tight Rope‘.

DRUZi is a Arvada, Colorado-born indie singer/rapper. He makes that catchy, honest and live-for-today type of music, that is full of truths about the world and the people who he meets daily.

I became an artist to bring a light on the slowly failing societal structure of large nations. To put it simply we don’t care about people that do really good things in the world. We’d rather watch an idolized pop star put on a mask and dance for the crowd.” ~ DRUZi

Saucing the mic with some tasty beats and with the cheeky charm brewing that keeps him alive and kicking – this is a compelling track full of being with someone who wants to do the same things you do – and doesn’t judge you for your habits, no matter what they are.

With a flourishing vocal ability that soothes your broken heart and has you totally enraptured by her stunning talent, this is a reflective glance to a moment that leads to that to all-important treasure of self-enlightenment.

The making of the music video was a true logistical nightmare because we shot it on Super8 film which then got overexposed and we had to do the entire thing over again. This includes baking a cake and smearing it all over my face.” ~ Ally Westover

Logistical Nightmare‘ from the highly promising and hungry Nashville-based indie-pop/rock artist Ally Westover, shows us vividly explained story which was carefully stored inside her expressive mind, when she understandably felt so emotionally betrayed by the dreaded ex who didn’t understand or truly care about her vision. This is a strong woman who has creativity oozing from her hungry veins – and sings with such a pure beauty and purpose –  that is always evolving and trying to be the best version of herself, in this rather lonely world.
