Cinematic music Composer

The East and West coalesces in Yazan AL Hajari’s achingly profound classical composition, Suite for Orchestra No.2

Yazan AL Hajari’s most recent composition, Suite for Orchestra No.2, is achingly beautiful from the first quiver of the cello bow from the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. Like all of his work, this classical piece pays homage to his Arabic heritage while embracing his passion for freedom, peace and creativity.

The Damascus, Syria-born, New York-based artist wrote his first song at the age of nine before studying classical music, classical Arabic music, jazz, world music and film scoring. If anyone can break the monocultural moulds that shield us from truly embracing the beauty in all corners of our globally intertwined world, it is Yazan AL Hajari.

It’s infinitely harder to feel numb towards the atrocities relayed on Sky News once you have experienced the east and west intricately weaved together in such nuanced fashion where borders aurally dissolve and timelines intersect.

With every crescendo scored to crawl beneath the rib cage and every minor note placed to share the weight of our sickness-riddled world, this classical reflection of humanity is one of the rare works that proves the beauty we are capable of.

Christopher Siu sets a cinematic score with his latest single, Once Again, featuring Amber Jakes.

For his latest single, Once Again, Toronto singer-songwriter and composer Christopher Siu collaborated with Amber Jakes to create a theatrically cinematic ballad; the orchestral score is almost arcane in its ability to immerse you in fantasy.

The light and sweeping piano notes set an evocative tone for Amber Jakes’ soulfully imploring vocal timbre that starts succinctly and climbs to the higher notes in line with the instrumental crescendos tenderly crafted by Siu. Once Siu’s vocals make a resounding appearance, his influences of Disney and music theatre start to shine through in the mesmerising single. Wherever Siu takes his sound next, we are sure that it will be a resounding, panoramic success.

The official lyric video is now available to stream on YouTube.

Dario Pagano has released his sacramentally captivating score ‘Roma Invicta’

Composer of classical, operatic and liturgical music, Dario Pagano, has released his cinematically ensnaring latest score ‘Roma Invicta (Battle)’, an evocatively tensile aural narrative of conflict, resilience and hope. It’s the perfect abstraction from your own emotion, something I’m sure many people presently need and will undoubtedly appreciate.

With a mix of antecedent sounds ranging from Gregorian chants to liturgical choral elements combined with the sheer intensity of the production, also deftly handled by Dario Pagano, the score instils a potent sense of hope as you’re served a sonorous reminder that the world is so much bigger and more sacrosanct than we view it to be on a daily basis.

Roma Invicta is available to stream via Spotify.
