Seattle’s Christian Rock Reverend Ryan Graves Used His Credence to Create an Electrifying Alt-Rock Hit with ‘Enemy’

Impressively, Ryan Graves is fresh from the release of his second LP of 2023; far from new to the game, he became an integral part of Seattle’s Christian alt-rock scene in the 90s; with his latest album, Human, which stands up to the cataclysmic threat of AI, Graves definitively proved that he can still hit the high-fire mark.

With a rap-rock edge that is just as sharp as the ones carved by The Beastie Boys in the verses of the standout single, Enemy, and classic rock credence making its way into the choruses, it is an electrifyingly hair-raising hit that mainlines the adrenaline through the post-rock instrumentals that create a platform for Graves’ piously enlightening vocals.

Graves’ latest album, Human, was officially released on September 11; stream it on Spotify now.

Folarin & Keziah Have Redefined the Christian and Gospel Genre with Their Latest Single “Jesus is Alive”

After hearing Folarin & Keziah’s latest collaborative Christian and Gospel single “Jesus is Alive”, I can guarantee that it’s not just the pious who will appreciate the riff-filled, Funk-soaked high octane mix which they’ve created.

How many times have you hit play on a single to discover it was passionless, soulless and sterile? Consider Jesus is Alive as an aural antidote. Jesus is Alive is brimming with an infectious amount of soul which won’t fail to resonate around the monstrous guitar riffs, funky bass lines, soaring synth lines, and the charismatically magnetic dual vocals from Folarin & Keziah. The energy in this single is more potent than any track I’ve heard this year. It comes highly recommended, and not just for the artist’s exposure, consider it as doing yourselves a favour.

Folarin & Keziah are due to release their debut album on December 6th, so make sure to give them a follow on Instagram & Facebook to keep up to date with news of their release.

In the meantime, you can check out their single Jesus is Alive via Spotify.

Deep Valleys – Piously Pleasing Post-Hardcore Christian Rock

Deep Valleys have been creating genre-shattering Christian Rock anthems since the Summer of 2016, it’s no wonder that they’ve seen a short ascension from the underground with their instrumentally bewitching Hardcore soundscape.

The Buffalo, NY based collective use their raucously heavy anthemic rock vibes as a platform to spread their Christian founded message. As an atheist, I always approach religious music with a massive dousing of cynicism, yet, with Deep Valleys, I couldn’t help but be thrown right into that nostalgic post-hardcore state of pure appreciation for the rhythmically hyped up riffs and instrumental breakdowns. The 4-piece powerhouse collective have found the influence for their genre-defying sound through their shared appreciation of Pop Punk, Alt Rock and Post Hardcore. Using that influence they’ve created monstrous cacophonies of sound that the Christian Rock scene just can’t ignore.

If you’re a fan of Neckdeep, the Gallows, Bring Me the Horizon, or you know, God, you’re going to want to check out Deep Valleys piously pleasing Post-Hardcore Christian Rock on Spotify or through their official website.
