Agnesz Anna Spun Dreamy Indie Jangle Pop into a Sonic Secret in No One Will Ever Know

If anything fits the bill to the penny while describing the latest single from Agnesz Anna, it’s her track tagline, “Rock n roll for the modern hearts with an old soul”. With No One Will Ever Know, she echoes vintage indie pop energy, giving the timbres. a second skin painted with raw, poetic confession. The reverb-drenched jangle pop guitars pirouette around her vocals, which glide and command in equal measure, all while cradling that rare, unvarnished romanticism that belongs more to cracked vinyl than algorithmic playlists.

In a world that treats intimacy like spectacle, No One Will Ever Know flickers like a candlelit secret in a blackout. Agnesz never overstates; she lets the layers of lush harmonies carry the swell. Every melodic curve is steeped in a warmth that evokes the golden-era psychedelia of the Beach Boys, the Psychedelic Furs, and the B-52s, without stealing a single shadow from their legacies.

The Dutch-Polish artist’s road to this release was paved with stage lights, flamenco rhythms, Shakespearean monologues, and transatlantic theatre runs. After studying at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York and appearing on Dutch television, she returned to her roots to forge a sound that’s fiercely her own. With this single marking the first taste of her 12-track debut indie pop album due later in 2025, Agnesz Anna has proven she’s more than ready to lace nostalgia with present-tense soul.

No One Will Ever Know is now available on all major streaming platforms, including YouTube.

The Garnetts released the ultimate summer indie-pop staple with their latest hit single, Jealous

The Garnetts have exactly what it takes to follow in the alt-indie footsteps of their Liverpudlian counterparts, Red Rum Club, as they melodically stride towards success with their nostalgically sepia-tinged latest single, Jealous, which is due for official release on June 2nd.

With the angularly funky staccato guitar chops, crooned guitar lines, and definitively 80s atmosphere in the sentimentally sweet single, you will be immersed in the bitter-sweet narrative of romantic possession from the first infectiously carved chorus.

Any fans of The Maccabees, Foals and Mystery Jets will be instantly enamoured by the bubblegum propensity of this emotionally monolithic hit single that could easily become a staple part of your summer indie pop playlists.

Stream Jealous via SounCloud from June 2nd.

Krystal Scarlet attests that fantasies can come true in her euphonious pop hit, Wonderland.

London-based pop breakthrough artist, Krystal Scarlet, dropped in on the airwaves for the first time since her infectiously vindicating 2021 hit, Won’t Forget, with her new 80s-inspired single, Wonderland, on December 16th. The funky indie guitar chops pop around the snappy percussion and colourfully vibrant electronic synthetics create an uplifting earworm that all too easily takes you to the titular destination.

With pitch-perfect euphonious harmonies, Krystal Scarlet carries the Taylor Swift effect before coming into her own via the authentically indie grooves in the track that will leave you humming to the tune of the fantastical euphoria for days on end.

The track that celebrates the kind of love that can abstract you from your own daydream and take you somewhere even sweeter isn’t one that you can passively let pass you by. Obsession is non-optional.

Wonderland is now available to stream on Spotify.

Soup and Cigarettes sweetened the sound of summer in their single, ‘Flower Dress’.

Here to make sure that 80s indie pop retains modernity is the Bristol, UK four-piece, Soup and Cigarettes, with their new album, UK DUTY PAID. The standout single, Flower Dress, makes a melodic indie ode to summer with its jangly kaleidoscopically colourful guitars, dreamy vocals, and sticky-sweet synths.

1987 had Sally Cinnamon; in 2022, we have Flower Dress, which effervesces around the lust for amorous life that magnifies in the heat of the summer. Fans of the 1975, PEACE and Jaws will also want to consider Soup and Cigarettes as a playlist staple band.

Check out UK DUTY PAID, which was officially released on August 19th here.
