Dark and Acid vibes are pushed to the forefront on this Techno powerhouse smasher that was made for those long sweaty nights in the local club. With these mostly closed worldwide, fans of this genre have had to bunker down and go back to the old days of the invite-only underground private events to hear tracks like this.

The beat is ferocious from the moment you press play and the energy does not let up ever. This is a storming single to help us all through the nightmare and back to a place that we all enjoy. That loud ass music that the lame couple next door hate but you love, is thrown against the window here and splattered all over your room. Every now and again you hear the vocals and it gives you the shivers of pleasure.

With a build up that will make your local construction workers proud, this is a single that catches you off guard after a while as you get locked into the DJ’s club and closing your eyes is ideal on this one. Tomorrowland is today in your head and the gradual mysterious sounds ease any stress or headache you might have deep inside your body.

Destroying those painful memories: Eric Dash sings with such gusto on ‘Killin’ Your Lies’

Eric Friedman aka Eric Dash is a well-traveled singer-songwriter, producer and engineer, who has just dropped the excellent ‘Killin’ Your Lies‘.

After learning so many skills from Jack Joseph Puig (American audio engineer, A&R executive, and record producer), he has since gone on do things DIY to further grow his expertise.

‘’ I’ve been writing songs since I was 8. Now I produce too. I should’ve just gotten my degree in finance.’’- Eric Dash

The immensely intricate start gives us a look inside the soul of the track and you just know this is going to be something spectacularly deep, like a clean swimming pool in summer that has a few cracks at the bottom. You like the experience for a while but something isn’t right.

His voice is so smooth and gets you singing along at the top of your lungs. He straps his boots on and tries to hold his heart close as it has been hurt by her selfishness. The pain is thrown against the wall and he puts his heart and soul into every second of this terrific Indie-Pop track.

This story about how the lies built up and you are trying to move on but it’s so hard. You get lost sometimes and get wrapped up tight into your thoughts for way too long. You need to stop obsessing as now you are alone as you have other-thought each moment, blaming yourself. You weren’t the one at fault so need to move on for your own mental state. These words are easier said than done, but the truth.

Eric Dash is quite brilliant on ‘Killin’ Your Lies’ and is a multi-skilled musician and has worked hard on his skills in the studio and seems to be sounding better and better vocally too. The world has been crazy in 2020 and this is a man to support and back his music. True quality is hard to find but here is a perfect example of a self-motivated artist that is constantly evolving to be the best version of himself he can be, each day.

Opening your eyes to the true path: “Nice To Hear You Smile’ from Hippy is a modern day story of going against the system

Glasgow based singer-songwriter Paul Hipson and guitarist Hugh Frizell join forces to combine into the creative outfit called Hippy. The Indie-Rock storytellers have blessed our ears with ‘Nice To Hear You Smile’ which is the 10th song off their debut album called ‘Behind Every Song Is A Story’. A powerfully presented song that strikes your conscious hot and this could be the perfect wake up track to remind us to live our own life each day.

His vocals are clear and concise, with lyrics about standing up for yourself and knowing your true value. Life is crazy with twists and turns tying you up like a scout knot so you need to good friends around to make you smile. The insidious pressures of modern day life are eloquently portrayed and the truth that is sung and spoken about are spot on.

Being your own person and thinking for yourself has never been more important with so much focus on the news and not on much more important topics like self-improvement and opportunities to do what you love. Being stuck in that rat race wheel of life is so unhealthy and ultimately will cause more harm than good; even if at first you think the opposite is true.

With their cutting edge honesty, gritty vocals and the kind of fiery guitar style that gives you those welcome shivers of excitement, Glasgow’s Hippy wake us up on “Nice To Hear You Smile‘. This sterling effort is a relevant anthem that has been created to open the blinkers off lost souls that have been so focused on themselves and have failed to look at the bigger picture. Being happy inside counts more than what is in your bank account as long term, your soul needs to be fulfilled with laughs and self-awareness.
