Studio 65 Album Review: 9 Tracks of Pure Rhythmic Audiophile Bliss

Alt Rock collective Studio 65 dropped their much-anticipated debut self-titled album on March 7th, 2018. There’s 9 whole tracks of rhythmic audiophile bliss riddled within the grungey reverb of Studio 65’s psychedelically Blues sound. The fourth track on the album Still on the Run had a reminiscence to the 90’s sound of Oasis, as a massive Britpop fan I should have been stoked by the track. Yet, I felt as though it slipped away from Studio 65’s otherwise pioneering sounds to a sound that’s been assimilated by a million other bands. However, the diversity of the album isn’t something to be sniffed at. For a first ever album you couldn’t hope for more. If Studio 65 don’t land a record deal after this album I may just lose all faith in the music industry. So, if you’re a fan of dirty riffs, Psychedelic vocals and transcendental harmonies you’re going to adore Studio 65.
