With no amount of exaggeration, Alt Folk band Strawman & the Jackdaws may just be the most exciting Folk outfit to surface since Noah and the Whale.
Describing how the Dublin-based band’s first single “Precious Star” unfolds almost feels like giving away spoilers, but I feel more than comfortable setting the expectation for you to feel to jaw-drop-in-awe sensations as you appreciate just how progressively prodigal the up and coming act’s sound is.
The prelude was constructed through pure concordance and made sure that you were well and truly immersed in the ambience before the single rapidly picks up the momentum until you’re well and truly wrapped up in euphorically punchy Folk complete with brass and the general tonality of mellifluous Folk euphoria.
