If you’re on the look out for an artist who defies every genre boundary, look no further than Slater and his dreamily organic offerings of kitsch polyphonic Trap.
Emerging Alt Trap artist Slater teamed up with fellow recording artist Kypha to create probably one of the most adorable tracks I’ve heard in 2018, and I don’t mean to be condescending, but the innocence literally drips throughout their collaborative fluidly progressive track. Ghostie is a chilling yet dreamy Trap Lo Fi mix which is quite literally impossible not to fall in love with. The quaint sensibility which both Slater and Kypha project into the mic is beyond any accurate description. Each element of the track feeds into one another perfectly resonant mix of low-key Trip Hop with the most resonant being the lyrics which invite you to just slip into the conceptually prodigal sound.
