It’s pretty rare that I’ll stumble across a track which resonates within me so deeply, but straight from the first verse of Sami Siteman’s debut single What I Should Have Done hit me like a tonne of bricks.
She has a unique way, pouring the harrow she harbours through the mic to provide a truly reminiscent feel-good anthem. To create her sound Sami uses a mix of Pop, Rock, Country, and even throws a dousing of Soul into the mix.
Her Pop style heart-melting vocals that could be compared to the likes of Taylor Swift are matched against a sonorous Pop-Rock riff-heavy beat that I will no doubt be listening to time and time again. Anyone who has ever encountered a narcissist will adore this track by the American Singer Song writer who creates her sound through a fun, yet powerful mix of sounds that translate to pure empowerment.
What I Should Have Done was the title track from her debut album released early March 2018, and yes, each of the songs on the album are just as piercingly resonant.
