Austen, Texas based Powerhouse Risky Motion have made a valiant return with their latest single Trip My Play, whilst you may have to wait until October to gorge upon the aural delights you can start getting excited about them right about now. Well, that’s if you’re a fan of a sultry Jazz Blues groove been written into an Alt Rock track, but surely, that’s a genre cocktail anyone would appreciate.
The off beat guitar rhythms and bass line, set the perfect pacing for the tentatively ambient mix which is electrified curtesy of a friendly synth. Midway through the track the beats get a little darker and heavier before somehow seamlessly gliding back into a Jazz Blues progression in the ultimate statement of fluidity.
