Richard Fordham – Invisible Flame: Soulfully Candid Pop

Richard Fordham

No one quite does archaic Pop quite like Richard Fordham. And no one shares their quaintly candid charm. Remember when songs used to be a direct line of communication where raw emotions were put to a melody and invited the listener to catch resonance? If not, their latest upcoming single “Invisible Flame” will serve as a stark reminder.

Invisible Flame shares the experience of unreciprocated love with a poignantly penned conceit running right the way through comparing unrequited love to an invisible flame. But instead of creating a melancholic track, through great humility, the artist injected plenty of personable, jovial humour.

Richard Fordham is an artist who I’ll always be happy to see back on the airwaves with a new chunk of his soul laid out in a playful jazzy ensemble.

You’ll have to wait a little longer before you can check out Invisible Flame for yourselves. In the meantime, head on over to SoundCloud and check out Richard Fordham’s earlier releases.
