“Give It Up” is the second single to be released by up and coming R&B Soul artist Ellaye. With the atmospherically-steeped single, she took soul in a brand-new contemporary direction.
With futuristically inclined Trap beats and a moody tonality, Give It Up is a welcome far-cry from the R&B you’ve been ingesting from the 80s. It’s dark, it’s arrestive, and more importantly, it doesn’t fail to spill all of the emotions which you look for from a soul track. The artist’s bold approach to her sound definitely paid off. And the commitment behind producing a stellar hard-hitter of a release is palpable with each and every emotively drawn-out progression.
