Phoenix Jakob provided us with the perfect introduction to his style and talent with his debut “Somewhere Man”. Everyone knows the industry is swamped, and finding true talent is harder than finding a needle in a haystack, but thankfully, every now and again you discover a talent so perceptibly celestial that it’s hard to remember why you found any despair in the industry. Which is just what we found with Phoenix Jakob’s debut.
With little use for a prelude, the track kicks off by introducing you to the arrestive vocals which act as an instant hook into the track which offers a smorgasbord of melody. Yet the striking orchestral layers to the single never allow you to feel comfortable instead of captivated.
We’re already in anticipation of the next track from the enviably talented up and coming artist. With such potent vocal magnetism, it’s unlikely he’ll be considered ‘up and coming’ for long.
