Paper Gliders – ‘This Magazine Scene’: An Experimental Take on Indie

This Magazine Scene is the latest single from the Houston, US-based collective Paper Gliders, to say you’ve never heard anything like the Indie Rock soundscapes before would be a little bit of an understatement. They’ve taken the Lo Fi Indie sound that would is more archetypally popular in the UK over to the US and created something experimentally inventive. Whilst in part, it felt as though the up and coming band were being a little extra about appearing prodigal the anthemic energy was infectious either way. With slight reminiscence to bands such as the Ordinary Boys, and Kaiser Chiefs, Paper Gliders provided an accessible sound which was made their own with the unpredictability behind the instrumental progressions. With a friendly keyboard and some slick riffs thrown into he mix, it’s hard not to become enthralled in the highly resonant track.
