Our Harbour – Rupture: Raucously Resonant Angst-Driven Metal

Whilst the prelude to Our Harbour’s stand out single “Rupture” from their latest EP “Through These Eyes” may kick the track off and leave you under the impression that you’re going to hear an assimilation of Slipknot’s sound, it only takes the next progression to show you how wrong you are.

The up and coming band have laced their Heavy Metal sound with elements of Screamo and Pop Punk for a prodigal hit of raucously resonant angst-driven catharsis. So, even though you get the sweet harmonious choruses which let the poignancy of the lyricism hit you, you’re also treated to screamo vocals which would give Job For a Cowboy a run for their money. Each of the instrumentals sat in a tight arrangement throughout the progressive single, yet it’s the bends of the bass which really takes Rupture to the next level.
