Judging by the haphazard attempts of most EDM Pop artists, no one would blame you for thinking that it’s almost impossible to find a synergy between the beat and the vocals. Yet, with his latest single “Lights” Oceanovus proved that he’s the triple threat when it comes to lyrics, beat production and vocals. So, if you’re looking for the perfect Pop hit to take to the dancefloor to, look no further than Lights which progresses with a club vibe and contains infectiously catchy choruses which I can guarantee you won’t forget in a hurry. Despite the seamless production there’s minimal effect on the vocals which are left to soar throughout the mix as you enjoy the depth of the drops and heights of the breakdowns. There’s a raw element of honest and humble emotion which drives the beat to Lights, regardless of how resounding the mix is. Alongside the heavy kicks of the 808’s the keyboard melody is kept audible in the multi-layered anthemic hit giving Lights an instantly accessible feel.
