NYC Artist Tom Blvck’s Latest Drop “Rose Petals” Bleeds Romanticism into Hip Hop

Romanticism may not be all too synonymous with Rap, but NYC-based Hip Hop artist Tom Blvck’s latest single “Rose Petals” may be set to smash every preconception you hold with the genre.

Rose Petals is just one of the contemporarily arrestive singles from the up and coming artist’s latest 2019 EP “Blvckavelli”. Instead of your archetypal Hip Hop beats, you will be treated to a more Indie soundscape with haunting guitar arrangements (similar to what you could expect from bands such as Interpol) around the drum pads. While there may be plenty of visceral emotion poured into the beats, it is within the lyricism that the sentiment will hit hardest. The wistfully poignant lyricism throws away any idea of restraint to become candid poetry which won’t fail to resonate. All things considered, Tom Blvck could never be described as your average Rap artist.
