Noella Usborne has made one of the most promising debuts we’ve heard this year with her Indie Pop single “Unrequited”. While in many Pop soundscapes you’ll find sterility, excessive use of autotune, and uninspired lyrics, Noella Usborne has treated us to a charismatic perennial earworm that will be all too tempting to keep on loop.
The up and coming singer songwriter may have started out as a bedroom artist, but it’s clear that she possesses the talent and the distinction of an artist who belongs on stage as well as on club DJs playlists. Noella Usborne may just have the safest pair of hands to leave the future of Pop in. Her ability to construct sharp hooks combined with her easy, accessible vocal style has us all too excited about what we will hear from her in the future.
