Whilst you may not have previously thought that tracks in the Acoustic Dance genre were a necessity for your playlists, you may think twice when you sink your teeth into Mark Richard’s latest single Ophelia. Ophelia is just one of the stunning singles to be found on the Irish Acoustic Dance artist’s latest EP ‘Like Poetry’ in which the up and coming artist puts his experimentally ingenuity to the test. It will soon become clear why ‘Like Poetry’ was an apt name for his three track EP.
You may not expect much from the build up’s and drops in an acoustically composed tracks but they’re deep enough to leave your stomach in knots, the build ups are subtle, yet intricately compelling all the same. The rhythm which bleeds from the acoustic percussion created an earthy, almost primal beat which was fused with quintessentially Folk delicacy.
