Luna Waves – Mystery Loves Co.: The Seamless Fluidity of Reverb-Soaked Jangle Pop

If there’s anything I love more than a fabulous play on words, it’s a resoundingly arresting offering of a sound that could be loosely described as Post Punk; but honestly it’s so much more.

If the palpably piercing, reverb-soaked melodies contained within Luna Wave’s latest track Mystery Loves Co. doesn’t move you, I’d probably check if you still have a pulse. The upbeat Jangle Pop riffs carry right through the progression of the track which flows with seamless fluidity. Whilst I adored the vocals I would love to hear a little less restraint through Luna Waves’ (AKA Rob Muir) future vocal offerings.

Mystery Loves Co. is just the first aural offering Luna Waves has in store for 2018, you can expect the debut album release of Seafoam Dream (Part 1) on July 27th, 2018.

If you’re a fan of The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, the Smiths or Interpol you’ll almost certainly want to make Luna Waves debut single Mystery Loves Co a major feature of your playlists. Head on over to Spotify where you can check out the instrumentally flawless offering of resonant Post Punk for yourselves.
