Love Ghost – Quiet Voices: Progressive Alt Rock Experimentalism at its Finest

Remember the first time you heard Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, or My Bloody Valentine and you felt your heart drop? The latest single from Love Ghost “Quiet Voices” will leave your biology feeling as equally confused.

As the vocals shift between softly versed Indie and unrestrained Alt Rock vocals the instrumentals also make plenty of transgressions of their own. And if you’ve never heard a soaring violin licks around a bassline which practically growls – now is the perfect time.

With the progressive nature of the single, you never know which direction the soundscape is going to violently thrash into. You’re bounced between piercing wails of the violin to concordant guitar melodies, and that’s just one of the reasons why you will be wondering it’s so hard to pick up your jaw.

If Love Ghost had left any more of an impression, I’m sure I’d be sporting bruises at this point. So, if you’re in the mood for some aural assault, you can check out Love Ghost’s music via SoundCloud.
