When Hip Hop Rap Linkz made the decision to team up with Kate Wild for his latest single ‘Free’, no one can deny it was an ingenious move. The two Hip Hop artists created one of the best Urban collaborations I’ve heard in 2018, Kate Wild’s soulfully soaring vocals contrast against Linkz’ rhythmically steady bars through which he projects the heart wrenching lyrics to the track which were pensively penned to create an almost overwhelming sense of melancholy. Yet at the same time Free is an ethereally uplifting anthemic albeit haunting hit.
There really is no wonder why the two artists’ latest track Free has already received over 25k streams on YouTube alone after its release on April 16th, 2018. Linkz & Wild’s fresh approach to instrumentals brought RnB infused Hip Hop into a brand-new arena which incorporated the snaring, poignant Trap beats around a heavier and much darker Rap beat for a full immersive flow.
