In 2018 it can be pretty difficult for a Hip Hop R&B artist to truly stand out, but that didn’t stop Lil Kd creating a fresh new drop, like nothing we’ve ever heard before. His sun-soaked, high-octane flavour flows throughout his latest single MK Ultra to provide one of the most anthemic R&B tracks we’ve stumbled across in a long time.
Throughout the track he mixes up his lyrical flow, never allowing you to become complacent in the sound, it’s one of those tracks which you have no choice but to move along to. Although, it has to be said, I’m not entirely sure what the sentiment behind the track was. I’d love to hear in Lil Kd’s future mixes a more solid concept to the lyricism. Having said that, when the beat is this hot, who really cares?
