“Waiting on My Time” is the dark and dissonant debut track from up and coming Trap artist La Escobar who played with elements of ambience, lyrical authority, and hazy aural transience to stamp down what we hope to be his signature style. The ominously orchestrated layers in Waiting on My Time almost allows the track to veer into the Dream Wave genre, yet it’s still got plenty of instrumental backbone.
The track kicks off with a hauntingly atmospheric prelude before cascading into a downtempo experimental mix, which isn’t all too lyrically heavy, but Waiting on My Time is all about the vibe which is cooked up through the layers of reverb as they slither around the efficaciously solid Trap beats.
