KC-J – Lovely: Archaically Expressive Aural Glam-Pop

If you’ve forgotten just how refreshing it is to listen to an artist which will truly shock you with their expressive style, you can remind yourselves by checking out singer-songwriter KC-J’s single “Lovely”.

It’s not every day you stumble across a vocalist as striking as Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, Paloma Faith or Bjork, yet KC-J has gone against contemporary convention and created a theatrically archaic delight with Lovely; just one of the four sensational singles from her Latest EP.

Even though the soundscape is dramatic through the orchestral pulls of the violins and glissando sweeps on the piano KC-J still keeps the track resonant and relatable through her ability to let her soul slip through the vocals. If you could imagine a mashup between Amanda Palmer and Amy Winehouse, you’d get a pretty good idea of the dramatic yet deliciously Neo-Soul tinged style.

You can check out KC-J’s latest EP “Love Ditties” including Lovely for yourselves by heading over to Spotify now.
