Found The Center of Your Heart is the debut track off NYC singer song writer’s latest demo ‘Live at Little Blue’ which was released on December 27, 2017.
I have no doubt that if the radio waves were filled with Jennifer Rae’s sound instead of plastic Pop the world would be a better place. It’s almost impossible to find a track that could match the poetry of the lyrics to this track. The lyrics gripped me like a vice, the same way they would if I was reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. Most Indie Soul singers pride themselves on their ability to pensively compose music, but nothing has come close to encapsulation the raw emotion like this track has with me, I was swept away by the agonising narrative. Her haunted vocal style, is a resounding accompaniment to the minimalist acoustic track.
