Jay Richey has just dropped his first single on Spotify Favorite Girl. I’m sure when you check out the track you’ll be thinking the exact same as me, where has be been hiding that talent? Jay Richey is an up and coming artist with the ability to make a perfectly hyped beat come alive with his rhythmically flawless rap bars and resoundingly sultry crooning. It’s hard to predict a future where Richey isn’t a household name.
There’s no denying that Jay Richey’s flavour is hot, but for me, I’d love to hear some more personability to the lyrics, whilst Favorite Girl may be a radio ready anthem, for me, it didn’t really give me a chance to connect to any sentimentality behind the track. That being said, The R&B Rap track is pretty much as fresh as it comes. The beat is alive with an anthemically euphoric air of sensuality which is further amplified by the simplicity of the lyrics.
