Essex based singer songwriter Jasmine Hood may only be 14 years old (yes you read that right it wasn’t a typo) but her astounding vocal talent has already seen her sharing stages with the likes of Robbie Williams and Coldplay. After touring in West End musicals Jasmine has started her solo venture and has created a debut single which is amazing beyond even the most flowery words I can throw at this review.
The Pop scene may be overcrowded, but with her standout style there isn’t a chance that in a few years’ time Jasmine will be a household name. With a stronger vocal range than I’ve heard in the Pop arena in a long time and such empowering lyrics there is really no questioning her aural prowess as a songstress. Bothered with You in no way seems like it was pensively penned by a 14-year-old considering that the lyrics are as mature as the vocal arrangements are soulfully resounding. The piano backing melodies were the perfect soundscape to lay down her soaring raw vocals.
