“Is It Ok” is the expressively artful latest single from up and coming UK-based artist Izzy Spint who has tackled the fairly difficult and baffling to most issue of the ‘friend zone’. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to listen to lyrics from artists reeling about finding themselves in the ‘friend zone’ and felt my blood boil at the expectation and entitlement. So, to say that Izzy Spint’s masterful offering of ambient electronic Indie Pop complete with soulfully commanding vocals was refreshing seems like a drastic understatement. Rather than fuelling Is It OK? with lovelorn sadness, Izzy Spint alludes to seeing the beauty in still cherishing the value of friendships, even in the presence of unrequited love.
The compelling single is just one of the tracks which feature in Izzy Spint’s latest EP “Vessel”. The EP explores a myriad of emotions and personal conflicts in incredibly poised soundscapes which stand as testaments to Izzy Sprint’s magnetic talent when it comes to offering resonant introspection.
