Intellect – Then There Were Two: A Contemporary Take on Anachronistic Hip Hop

Up and coming Hip Hop Rap artist Intellect describes his latest single Then There Were Two as “The essence of hiphop in its truest form”; and that may just be the perfect summarisation of his sound there is.

Through fusing elements of Neo-Soul into his celestially rendered soundscape Intellect set up the haunting atmospherics, while the rattles of the bass brought solidity to the structure. And no one will ever be able to deny that Intellect has the ability to wax lyrical. The intricacies and intellect exhibited within his Rap bars are the mark of exceptional talent which we don’t get to hear every day. It’s easy to see how Michael Dowd came up with the perfect title for his project. With the layers of ambience, the veracity of the beats which is only matched by Intellect’s Rap bars, the Los Angeles-based artist has given us plenty of reasons to get excited about his potential

This is absolutely one if the best reviews I have ever seen for Intellect. I’m not just a fan but his best friend and like most he has a vision and a sound that is indeed hip hop. It’s amazing people like you that keep his heart pumping. Thank you. Team Lect will make it to London one day and you’ll be right in the front.
