Fans of bass-heavy Alternative Hip Hop are sure to find a playlist favourite with up and coming Rap artist Iamfaz’s latest single “Living in the Wild Terrain”.
While there have been plenty of Hip Hop/Rock crossovers recently, none have quite gone in the same direction of Iamfaz’s latest single. By using similar vocal effects which you will have heard in Mike Patton’s more experimental side projects the track is layered in ominous magnetism. Usually, vocal effects strip away the raw energy of a single, but with Living in the Wild Terrain, the angst is amplified. While the reverberantly deep licks of the acoustic bass give the track plenty of funk and groove; providing the perfect structure for the rest of the electronic and acoustic instrumentals to synergise on.
