Hollie Findlay’s latest single “Querencia” definitely doesn’t fail to hit the emotive sweet spot. Her unique take on Pop ballads has created a melodiously immersive soundscape to melt into.
The piano-led arrangement offers subtly jazzy elements of Neo-Soul while Hollie Findlay ensured that Querencia pulled together with plenty of magnetic contemporary appeal thanks to her soft and accessible vocals. The 16-year-old singer-songwriter has proven with this release that maturity in sound definitely doesn’t correlate with age.
It was highly perceptible that instead of creating Querencia as a testament to her talent, the primary objective was to create single which offers a potent amount of catharsis, and it’s safe to say that she was successful.
