Up and coming Hip Hop Rap artist Dura$ell has made his debut with his single Nick Foles; a track which allows him to lay down his bars on a bed of solid old-School Hip-Hop rhythm. The track was a valuable affirmation that Dura$ell has a discernible command of meter and rhyme combined with his ability to write fierce lyrics. But as much as I loved the energy put into the track through the vocals and the beats, it was hard to feel them gel at any point throughout the track. Which is always a risk when an artist uses pre-existing beats for their mixes, and sadly, this time it definitely took away the ability to really get hooked within the track.
But that’s definitely not to say that Dura$ell isn’t a Rap artist with plenty of marketable potential.
