Were Hip Hop Rap artist Hiigh Society so high when they come up with their artist name, they didn’t notice the extra ‘I’? The jury is still out on that one, either way, their latest single “Double Cup” is more than a worthy addition to your soundtrack to intoxication. The melodic multi-layer beat is full of tonality thanks to the guitar rhythms which sit behind the relentless trap beats which rattle and snare over the rich harmony over the progressions whilst Hiigh Society verses his rhythmically raw bars. The midtempo pacing of Double Cup combined with the pitch-perfect mastering of the single makes the debut single from Hiiigh Society more than a song you listen to, it’s a track that you slip into thanks to the ambient resonance of the seamlessly constructed beat.
