“Awake” is the first single to be released from the up and coming Pop Rock artist Hayley Nyota’s upcoming debut EP which is set to by a stylistically rendered series of earworms if Awake is anything to go by.
The US-based singer-songwriter’s debut track is sure to be of appeal of any fans of Stevie Nicks as Hayley Nyota’s vocals carry a slightly similar bewitching magnetism. Yet, Awake still carries plenty of authenticity with their unique revival of slightly vintage Blues Rock which is still as rhythmic as ever, but with an extra slick Pop polish.
The jangling guitar progressions make it all too easy to find your place in the rhythm of Awake and they’re not easily forgotten once the track has faded out. It’s always incredibly refreshing to hear contemporary Pop carved out with deftly played instruments, it’s a rarity, which is why you should cherish Awake for the gem that it is.
