Harvey Coates latest track Obsession succinctly toes the mid-tempo line to provide you with a soundscape you can either kick back and get lost in or hit the dance floor as it’s blaring through the monitors. Finding a EDM track which carries that amount of resonance and depth is like finding a needle in a haystack. Before you even get to the first hook in the track you’re pulled by the amplified tide of stylised sound. However, as much as I loved the beat to Harvey Coates track, I didn’t feel as though the vocals were the perfect match for the track even though the female vocals were undeniably strong, they didn’t quite synergise with the vibe that the beat was moving through. Having said that, I’m sure DJ’s will internationally be testing out Harvey’s euphorically charged beats on dancefloors in no time at all.
