Gordon James and the Power – NIGHTS ON THE MOON: Soberingly Sweet Indie Pop

There was no forgetting Gordon James and the Power after hearing their single “When I First Saw You There” earlier this year. Some artists are in the habit of leaving you with the anticipation for their next release. Gordon James and the Power are up there with the rest of them.

Their ability to spill soul amongst emotions which would be inexpressible to most is unparalleled. NIGHTS ON THE MOON serves up plenty of lump-in-throat moments, even more so when you take into account the inspiration behind their latest single.

The single was inspired by the frustrations felt by people with ADHD as they maintain close relationships. NIGHTS ON THE MOON is a poignantly gentle reminder that a little empathy and understanding goes a long way. We’re not all wired in the same way, if you’re looking for commonality, look for our need for compassion, love, and understanding.
