FEI steamed up house music with the velvet-soft club electricity of her sophomore single, ‘Only Now’

Already commanding rhythm and atmosphere with sharp, alchemically aphrodisiacal electricity running through her hedonically heightened sophomore single, Only Now, Los Angeles-based DJ and producer FEI is far too charged to stay contained in the underground. Working across house and electronic music, she frames the track as a full-body transmission, built for movement, sweat, strobes and the ultimate hit of euphoria when the room collectively loses its mind.

Only Now demands your body submit to the beat as it gyrates around harmonic, hummed, non-lexical vocals that steam up the production, resulting in a velvet-soft hit that practically leaves the taste of the smoke machine in your lungs. Rolling basslines push beneath clean percussion, while the vocal textures give the track a sensual human haze; it’s the antithesis of clinical production. FEI understands pacing as seduction; the track rises, tightens and glows with the patience of someone who knows the club floor responds better to control than overkill.

A Berklee College of Music graduate and GRAMMY U Ambassador, FEI has already taken her sound through GRAMMY U Soundstage, TikTok’s DJ Open House, Breaking Sound LA and Apple Music’s Los Angeles studio. Her sleek sonic signature brushes against the stylish momentum of Peggy Gou, the polished club rush of TSHA and the low-end magnetism of Honey Dijon.

Only Now is now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify.
