Fallen Stars – My Heart: Anthemically Angsty Pop Punk

The Fallen Stars are a mind-blowing female-fronted collective, who have just released their debut single My Heart which translates as an amalgamation of Metal, Pop Punk and soaring angsty vocals from the outstandingly talented Rose Weekes. Rose is a powerhouse of talent with her enchanting vocal range alongside her modelling, acting, production and videography skills all adding to her enviable repertoire. I was so taken aback by Rose’s vocals, it’s hard to concentrate on any other element in the track such as the pounding infectious Pop Punk Rhythm, and the Metal AF synergy that washes over this track. The Vancouver based band formed back in 2017 as a super group of well-seasoned professional musicians all lending a deft hand to create sensational tracks such as My Heart. Their debut track demonstrates their impressive versatility wrapped around their own unique raucous edge. Their catchy, bounding riffs put them in the same league as Billy Talent and Paramore, musically yet Rose lifts the band from the mediocrity of the genre making My Heart a truly anthemic hit.
