If you like plenty of lyrical fire behind your contemporary R&B Hip Hop tracks, prepare to be enamoured by up and coming recording artist Ellbow’s latest EP “Summer Solstice”.
The 6-track EP is a release which boasts the rare ability to invoke nostalgic memories of summers which seemed simpler and sunnier while at the same time leaving you suitably uplifted thanks to Ellbow’s uniquely energetic and playful vocals.
Each track on the EP is as vibrant and soulful as the last, yet, the best introduction to Ellbow’s rhythmically rendered restoratively sweet sound is “HMU (GodsBstrdChild)”. HMU welcomed Rap artist Ramon into the mix to deliver the more commanding bars, while Ellbow’s vocals offered plenty of melodic harmony.
