“Needs” is the debut drop by up and coming Maryland-born and London-raised Hip Hop artist Eleven. Whilst the single may be a little slow to start, the tentative prelude only adds to the momentum which hits when the dark urban single really kicks into verse.
With an unpredictable progression to the EDM Hip Hop track you’re treated to moody layers of synth around Eleven’s pensive vocals and ominous vocal samples. Eleven chose a fairly experimental track to debut with, yet, it’s safe to say the daring move paid off given how immersive the reverb-soaked beats are. With deeper levels of bass than what you’d come to expect from the genre in contrast to Eleven’s clear-cut dynamic vocal style, you’re in for an aurally arrestive treat.
